Cascade Christian Schools, a high quality, independent, interdenominational school system, is accepting applications for a Janitor/Custodian at our Junior High/Senior High and Puyallup Elementary Schools.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Support campus administration, faculty, staff and students
• Receive oral and written orders from building administrator
• Performs work according to stand procedures and by building operational schedule
• Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs
• Performs painting and touch up painting
• Empties wastes baskets
• Replaces light bulbs
• Sets up and tears down chairs, tables and equipment for meetings
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
• Additional duties may be required
• Work in a manner that reflects the character of Jesus
• Walk in humility – a servant leader

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Ability to move consistently for up to eight hours per day
• Prior job-related experience in custodial procedures and building maintenance with increasing levels of responsibility
• Skills to operate standard custodial equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations related to the handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals
• Superior customer-service and relational skills
• Ability to perform prolonged physical activity including standing, reaching, lifting up to fifty pounds, handling, and fingering
• Able to work independently and understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Willing to complete Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance, CPR and first aid training

 

START DATE:

August 1, 2024 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

 

SALARY RANGE:

$18.45 - $21.70, Depending on experience
